It is the question I am asked most often, usually a little quietly, as though it might be the wrong thing to ask. Will a print really feel the same? Or am I settling for a lesser version of something I love?
It is a fair question. And the honest answer is that a print is its own thing, made with the same care, carrying the same feeling, in a form that more people can actually live with.
What a print is, and what it is not
A limited release canvas print is not a photocopy of a painting. It begins with the original work, photographed and colour-read slowly so the tones are true. The texture, the light sitting in the colour, the softness of the blooms, all of it is treated with attention before anything is ever produced.
What it is not is mass-produced. Each size is limited. Once a size has sold through, that is the end of it. A print is a way to bring the work home without the price of an original, but it is still considered, still cared for, still made to last.

The feeling lives in the work, not only the surface
Here is the part people do not expect. The feeling of a piece does not live only in the brushstrokes. It lives in the composition, the colour, the quiet the work holds. All of that comes through in a print.
When one of these prints is on a wall in a real home, in real light, most people are not thinking about whether it is an original. They are feeling the calm it brings into the room. That feeling is the whole point, and it travels.
Made to arrive well
How a piece reaches you matters to me. Each print is prepared by hand, rolled carefully, and sent in a protective tube so it arrives the way it left the studio. Ready to be framed and lived with.
For collectors interstate or overseas, this is also the most reliable way to bring the work home. A rolled print travels safely in a way a large framed original simply cannot. There is a quiet practicality to it that I have come to love.
If you love the originals, you will understand the prints
People who are drawn to the originals are usually the ones who appreciate the prints most, because they care about the feeling first. A print lets that feeling into more homes, including, often, a second piece for a different room.
So no, a print is not a lesser version. It is the same world, the same stillness, made to be lived with by more people. And that has always been the point.
